10:45 AM — Land Applications: Understanding Core Functionalities

In the next session, the focus shifts to Land Applications, exploring the following functionalities in depth:

  • Island Mode: Discussing autonomous operation capabilities of the genset controllers.
  • Automatic Mains Failure: Highlighting the controllers’ response to power interruptions.
  • Peak Shaving: Demonstrating how peak loads are managed to optimize efficiency.
  • Mains Power Export: Exploring how excess power is exported to the grid.

These topics are essential for participants to grasp the controllers’ core applications and understand how to implement them effectively in their projects.

12:00 PM — Networking Luncheon

The networking luncheon provides participants with a chance to continue discussions from the morning sessions in a relaxed setting. These interactions foster valuable professional connections that extend beyond the training itself.

1:30 PM — Deep Dive into Hybrid Systems and Power Management

The afternoon session resumes with a focus on more complex applications:

  • Fixed Power and Load Take Over: Discussing scenarios where the genset controllers maintain a constant power supply or assume a backup role.
  • Hybrid System: An in-depth look at integrating renewable energy sources with traditional power systems.
  • Challenging Controller Types: Reviewing specialized controllers for unique industrial requirements.
  • Power Management System: Highlighting how controllers manage multiple sources to maintain system stability.

3:00 PM — Refreshment and Networking Break

Another short break allows participants to recharge and network with each other before diving into the final session of the day.

3:30 PM — Advanced Functionalities and Graphical Interface

The day concludes with a session on advanced functionalities and the Graphical User Interface (GUI) of DEIF controllers. This part of the training will demonstrate how users can leverage the GUI to monitor, control, and optimize operations. Understanding the graphical interface is crucial for enhancing usability and efficiency.

4:30 PM — Q&A Session and Wrap-Up of Day One

The day ended with an interactive Q&A session, providing participants with an opportunity to clarify any doubts and engage directly with the trainers. This wrap-up serves as a recap of the day’s content and sets expectations for Day Two’s hands-on activities.

Day Two: Hands-On Practice with DEIF Controllers

While Day One laid the theoretical groundwork, Day Two focuses on giving participants practical experience with DEIF controllers.

9:00 AM — Introduction to Utility Software and Configuration Settings

The second day begins with an introduction to DEIF’s Utility Software, highlighting its role in configuring and managing genset controllers. This session includes:

  • Settings Overview: A walkthrough of key parameters and I/O descriptions.
