Kuching, Sarawak - On July 9, the highly anticipated "Sunday Morning with Premier 2.0: Dialogue Session with Young Entrepreneurs on New Economy" took place, bringing together young entrepreneurs, esteemed government officials, and industry leaders with an opportunity for an up close and personal conversation with the Sarawak Premier. The event was jointly organized by DayakDaily, Pertubuhan Wartawan Bebas Kuching (Pewarta), and Sarawak Economic Planning Unit (EPU). Hosted by Chief Editor Lian Cheng, the event proved invaluable for knowledge exchange, networking, and fostering closer ties between the business community and the government.
The highlight of the event was the presence of The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg (Abang Jo), Premier of Sarawak. Notably, ministers and Group CEO of Sarawak Energy Group, YBhg Datu Haji Sharbini Suhaili, and Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) CEO, Mr Sudarnoto Osman also provided noteworthy responses, shedding light on the advancements in various topics, from digitalizing agriculture to internet cybersecurity and telecommunications, including the transition from 4G to 5G.
Entrepreneurs were encouraged to approach the Ministry of International Trade, Industry, and Investment (MINTRED) minister, Mr Dzulkornain bin Masron, for further support in securing the necessary capital to fuel their business growth. The government's commitment to fostering a thriving business environment and aiding the expansion of local enterprises was evident throughout the session.
