1. Oil and Gas Asia (OGA) 2023

Ultech Engineering excelled at Oil and Gas Asia (OGA) 2023, Asia's largest oil and gas event in Kuala Lumpur. The event was pivotal, enabling us to forge new connections, strengthen existing relationships, and showcase our expertise in industrial automation. Preparation included intensive training on Siemens' "Industrial Edge" technology and meticulous booth setup supported by Mitsubishi Electric, Weidmuller, Rockwell Automation and DEIF. Throughout the event, our strategically located booth attracted significant traffic, featuring comprehensive demos that highlighted our integrated solutions. We engaged with industry leaders, attended informative sessions, and participated in networking events, leaving a lasting impression at Oil and Gas Asia (OGA) 2023 and paving the way for future advancements in the field.

2. DEIF Genset Controller in Kuching

Ultech Engineering held a 2-day DEIF Genset Controller Training on March 25-26, 2024, at Sarawak Skills, Kuching. The event aimed to equip participants with advanced skills in DEIF controller technology, supported by DEIF Singapore and Sarawak Skills. The training featured both theoretical and practical sessions, covering DEIF controllers' setup and applications. Participants gained hands-on experience with DEIF Utility Software and practical examples. The training enhanced participants' technical skills and fostered future collaborations. Ultech Engineering plans to make this training a quarterly event in 2024, highlighting its commitment to ongoing technological education.

3. Ex-Proof Training with Capeserve Energy

Capeserve Energy and Ultech Engineering have partnered to improve safety standards in hazardous environments through ex-proof training. The training, led by Capeserve's experienced trainers, focused on the Ex001 standard for electrical equipment in explosive gas atmospheres. Participants, including Ultech's engineering staff and other industry representatives, learned about hazardous area classifications, risk assessments, and preventive measures.

The program included a practical examination monitored by Capeserve trainers, with certification evaluated by a Norwegian body. This certification enhances career prospects and safety competence, essential for various industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, and food processing. The collaboration underscores the commitment to fostering a culture of safety and expertise in managing potentially explosive atmospheres.

4. “The World of Smart Connectivity” Seminar with Weidmuller

Ultech Engineering participated in Weidmüller's seminar titled "The World of Smart Connectivity" in Miri, Sarawak, on March 6, 2024. The event focused on advancements in connectivity solutions, featuring discussions on surge protection devices, KE Solutions' enclosure technologies, green energy transitions, and cable management systems by Hellermann Tyton. It provided networking opportunities and insights into innovative technologies shaping industrial automation and sustainability efforts. Ultech Engineering values the educational experience and looks forward to future collaborations to drive industry innovation and growth.

5. Basic PLC Workshop for Curtin Students and IEEE Club

Ultech Engineering, Curtin University Malaysia, and the IEEE Club recently hosted a successful workshop on the Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 Controller. Led by Miss Wong Voon Xing, with assistance from Mr Kelvin Tiong Ka Yung and Mr Mike Gaby Law Ik Pin, the workshop focused on PLC programming for monitoring fish tanks and aquaculture systems. Held on May 4th, the workshop attracted 27 students and was divided into two sessions for hands-on training. Key objectives included understanding the Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200, connecting PLCs with HMIs, programming PLCs to display outputs on HMIs, and using sensors to control outputs like pumps and LEDs.

Participants learned to wire PLCs, integrate sensors, and program logic, to gain practical skills in industrial automation. This workshop is the start of an ongoing collaboration, with students continuing projects under Miss Wong's guidance. In summary, the workshop effectively equipped students with essential PLC programming skills and set the stage for future partnerships between Ultech Engineering, Curtin University, and the IEEE Club.

6. 3rd Datuk Sebastian Education and Career Fair

For the Perkeso Event Ultech Engineering participated in the 3rd Datuk Sebastian's Education and Career Fair on May 24-25, 2024, at Pullman Miri Waterfront Hotel. Organized by Miri Education Initiative Society (MEIS) and SUPP Miri, the event aimed to connect job seekers with employers and students with educational institutions. Ultech's booth showcased career opportunities and company values, attracting candidates for roles such as Sales Engineer and Marketing Executive. Interactive displays and corporate gifts enhanced engagement and facilitated successful preliminary interviews.

Deputy Minister Datuk Sebastian Ting's opening speech highlighted the fair's importance in matching diverse talents with appropriate career paths. Ultech received recognition from local leaders, enhancing its reputation in the engineering sector. Overall, the fair was a success for Ultech, aiding in recruitment efforts and reinforcing its presence in the community and commitment to innovation.
